Singapore Business Awards 2011 (SBA 2011) honours the spirit of corporate leadership and excellence

Singapore, 7 April 2011 – Mr Chia Kim Piow, the Chairman & Managing Director of Rotary Engineering Limited, an engineering, procurement and construction company, has been named Businessman of the Year (BOY) in this year’s Singapore Business Awards (SBA).

Launched in 1986, the Singapore Business Awards (SBA), acknowledged as Singapore’s most prestigious business accolade, is now in its 26th year. The SBA is jointly organised by The Business Times, Singapore’s leading business daily; and DHL Express, the global market leader of the international express and logistics industry.

In addition to Businessman of the Year, the other awards in the SBA roll of honour are Outstanding Chief Executive of the Year, Outstanding Chief/Senior Executive (Overseas) of the Year and Enterprise of the Year.

Mrs Lim Hwee Hua, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and Transport, is the Guest of Honour at this evening's SBA 2011 presentation dinner at The Ritz Carlton, Millenia Singapore.

Rotary Engineering Limited had previously received the Enterprise of the Year award at the 2008 SBA. This is the fifth time a past winner of the Enterprise of the Year award has been honoured with the Businessman of the Year award. The others were -

Citation – For its innovativeness, enterprise and far-sightedness in seizing opportunities to transform itself into one of Asia's leading integrated logistics and supply chain management companies.
