Singapore, 18 July 2011 – The Singapore Gifts & Premiums Fair 2011 (SGPFair), held in conjunction with Stationery&Officelink 2011 (SOLFair), will be officially opened on Wednesday 20 July by Mr Baey Yam Keng, Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC.
SGPFair / SOLFair 2011, which will take place from Wednesday to Friday (20 – 22 July) at Marina Bay Sands, is Singapore’s first and longest-running trade event of its kind. It consolidates stationery, premiums and gift suppliers under one roof to be the ultimate one-stop shop for industry players.
This year marks the 12th edition of the fair. It is also its second year as an SPH property, following Sphere Exhibits’ acquisition of a majority stake in BizLink Exhibition Services in June 2010.
SGPFair / SOLFair 2011 had humble roots as a means of providing a cost-effective platform to exhibitors, but it has since grown into the most recognised and widely participated-in exhibition by industry players. The event has assisted in the economic progress of manufacturers and importers of gift and stationery products in Singapore.
Said Mr Chua Wee Phong, Executive Director of Sphere Exhibits: “It is our vision to continue evolving and expanding the SGPFair / SOLFair as the industry’s marquee event. As the industry’s leading trade event, we will continue to present innovative offering and be at the forefront of commercial exchanges for the industry’s trade and corporate stakeholders.”
With a total floor space of 4,900 sqm, this year’s edition of SGPFair / SOLFair is the largest to date. SOLFair 2011 has also expanded with the addition of the Office Solutions Zone. This offers a comprehensive range of office system capabilities and intelligent software to enhance workflow and efficiency.
In appreciation of the support it has received for the SGPFair / SOLFair, Sphere Exhibits will match every registration at the show with a $1 contribution towards The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.
SGPFair / SOLFair 2011 is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, Promotional Products & Giftware Association, The Singapore Booksellers & Stationers Association and Association of Small & Medium Enterprises.
