Singapore, 24 March 2011 – Pet owners will take centre stage at the CATS Classified Pets Corner Event 2011 held at the East Coast Park this Sunday (27 March 2011). Themed “Best Buddies by the Beach", they can showcase the strong bonds as well as hilarious similarities they have with their beloved pets, and stand to win fantastic prizes.
The event will feature a slew of stage contests and activities, including the “Stay By Me” Obstacle Challenge, Two of a Kind, Wagging Good Time, Long Tail of Friendship, Run Buddy Run and various others (please see Appendix for the detailed programme highlights).
There will also be more than 20 booths manned by pet merchants and animal welfare organisations offering a wide selection of products, services and information. Besides revelling in the fun and excitement, visitors can enjoy the convenience of this one-stop "mart" and find all things pet-related here, from food and obedience training courses to express grooming, pet-care advice and even pet insurance.
Goodie bags will be given to the first 500 visitors who turn up with a cut-out coupon which will be published in CATS Classified in The Sunday Times on March 27. Those who spend a minimum of $15 in a single receipt will receive an exclusive CATS Classified sunshade worth $12 (maximum of two redemptions per customer). Pet owners can also take advantage of the express grooming service for their pets at the event for only $10.
Pets Corner is not only about fun and frivolity. Beneath its light-hearted veneer, pet ownership entails obligations and responsibilities. The event therefore includes booths for the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA), Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD), the House Rabbit Society Singapore (HRSS), and the Animal Lovers’ League (ALL), all of which will be promulgating their messages of responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
An annual event, Pets Corner furnishes a venue for pet owners, vendors and relevant authorities and organisations to gather and interact. This year’s event is sponsored by Royal Canin, a provider of premium dog and cat food.
CATS Classified would like to cordially invite you and your photographer/videographer to this fun-filled event on 27 March, Sunday.
Please RSVP latest by 25 March, Friday, 5pm to Mr James Ong at firstname.lastname@example.org or 6319 5909.
